On October 18, in connection with the 60th anniversary of Sumgayit State University a photo exhibition reflecting the activities of the university in different periods was organized in the lobby of the Great Assembly hall.

The development path of the university, events, meetings, collaborations, etc., from the time of its establishment to the present were presented at the exhibition attended by the professor-lecturer and student staff.

Vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations associate professor Elmar Khalilov  greeted the event participants and spoke about the scientific and pedagogical activity of SSU. He said that Sumgayit State University was established in 1962.It has gone through a great development and become a prestigious science - education center of the country and the region today. During its activities, the university provided highly qualified personnel to the industrial enterprises of not only Azerbaijan, but also the former USSR, as well as a number of foreign countries and made valuable contributions to the development of the intellectual potential of our country.

The photo exhibition which widely demonstrates the multifaceted activities of the university aroused the great interest of the participants.
