On October 6, the head of the Sumgayit city branch of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs, the director of "Gartal Construction Firm" Shahin Mammadov, the director of "Osmanli" LLC Mikayil Mammadov, the founder and director of "Mor" LLC Mikayil Abdullayev visited Sumgayit State University.

First, rector professor Elkhan Huseynov exchanged ideas with the guests around the round table about the mutual benefits and prospects of cooperation between the university and the companies. He informed the guests about the university. He noted that SSU  has become one of the leading universities of our republic due to its achievements as a center of science, education and culture of Sumgayıt. Therefore, all Sumgayit residents and every member of the university staff have the right to feel proud. Sumgayit State University cooperates with many leading universities of our republic and the world on this sacred path.İt exchanges experience in various directions and moves foward future success.

Highly appreciating the active position of Sumgayit State University in the social life of our country, its scientific and cultural traditions, and its role in the enrichment and development of advanced educational methods, the honorable President Mr. Ilham Aliyev said: "The city of Sumgayit gives valuable contributions to the general progress of science, education and culture. Sumgayit State University is already one of the prestigious higher education institutions of our republic"

The head of state"s high assessment of the activities of our native university calls us to represent Azerbaijan"s science and education in the international educational space together with other higher schools of our republic. In particular, after the Great Victory, all the employees of SSU are deeply aware that a new era of renaissance has begun in the socio-political and scientific-cultural life of our country, and are ready to participate in every field of this renaissance with a high sense of responsibility and practical activity.

Rector also noted that youth is a great force in every country. Today, President Mr. Ilham Aliyev"s attention and concern for students and young people is estimable. The orders and decrees signed by the head of state regarding the increase of students" scholarships are another manifestation of the attention given to students and youth. This will already strengthen healthy competition among students and will have an impact on their pursuit of higher education.

Speaking about the importance of the scholarship given to the students, the rector said that he highly appreciated the decisions made by the managers of the company  which successfully implemented the policy carried out by Mr. Ilham Aliyev  regarding the establishment of a scholarship for 7 students of the university in this direction, and thanked the guests on behalf of the university"s professors and students.

After that, the director of "Gartal Construction Firm" Shahin Mammadov gave a speech , expressed his deep gratitude to the management of the university and the staff for the warm welcome, noted the importance of expanding the relations between the university and the firm, and gave a detailed speech about the scholarship, stating that the entire selection of the program students who successfully pass the stages of the program  will receive a scholarship determined by the company until the end of the current study period. In addition, within the framework of this program, students will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge about the field of telecommunications, participate in the company"s corporate events and social activities, participate in various trainings in the company.Then scholarships were presented to 7 students who studied with good marks.

The students also expressed their gratitude for the attention and care shown to them, and promised to contribute to the development of the country in the future as qualified cadre.
