AN ONLINE ROUND TABLE DEDICATED TO SEPTEMBER 27 - REMEMBRANCE DAY AT THE FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS
On September 25, the Faculty of Mathematics hosted an online round table organized by the Student Youth Organization dedicated to September 27 - Remembrance Day.
First, the souls of our martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of our Motherland were commemorated with a minute of silence.
The event was attended by a group of professors, teachers and students of the faculty, as well as a student of the faculty Gazi Sahil Shirinov.
Opening the event, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Mammadali Mammadov stressed that the celebration of September 27 as Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan and the systematic steps taken in this regard are a clear example of respect for the holy spirit of our martyrs and the courage of our veterans. We are confident that the souls of our martyrs are happy today. Because life is being rebuilt in the lands where our martyrs died, and rapid revival is being carried out in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions of independent Azerbaijan.
Gazi Sahil Shirinov, a student of the faculty who took part in the Great Patriotic War, also attended. He spoke about his path of battle, great enthusiasm in the army, feelings of patriotism, endless confidence in the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and expressed satisfaction with the state care provided to soldiers who lost part of their health in the Great Patriotic War.
Then many students spoke about our close relatives and acquaintances, Yegana Tahmazova gave information about her cousin, martyr Etibar Najafov, Sevinj Hasanova about martyr Tural Hasanov, Narmin Abdullayeva about martyr Khayyam Huseynov, who grew up in the same village, Yegana Ahmadova about the martyr Colonel Babek Samidli, a close friend of his father. They said that our people appreciate the suffering of every soldier who took part in the victory, and commemorates our martyrs with respect and gratitude. We ask God to have mercy on all the martyrs and to heal the veterans.
