On September 23, the Faculty of Physics and Electroenergetics organized an online scientific-practical conference on "Our heroes who are sons of the motherland" dedicated to September 27 - Remembrance Day.

The conference was attended by a group of professors, teachers and students.

A minute of silence was observed in memory of the sons of the fatherland who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our sacred lands.

At the conference, the Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Power Engineering, Associate Professor Tamella Ahmadova spoke in detail about our 44-day war, emphasizing that in response to the next Armenian military aggression against our country on September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani Army launched a counter-offensive , achieved a historic victory, avenged the martyrs, victims of Khojaly, innocent people who died during the genocides in Ganja, Barda and other cities and regions on the battlefield, liberated their historical lands from the clutches of the enemy, showing the place Armenia deserves.

Lecturer of the Department of History of Azerbaijan Parviz Jafarov delivered speech on "Courage of the sons of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War", Head of the Department of Physics and its teaching Assoc. Fuad Mammadov "Azerbaijan, the winner of the Patriotic War, is the strongest state in the South Caucasus", Ramiz Ismayilov, associate professor of the Department of Solid State and Semiconductor Physics, spoke on "Patriotism of the youth of independent Azerbaijan." They said that our soldiers and officers, who fought valiantly in the 44-day war, the front, our people as a whole, demonstrating unity and solidarity as a fist, struck crushing blows to the enemy.
