On April 14, Ufa State Oil Technical University hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the IV International Olympiad on "Fundamentals of Automated Control in Technical Systems" held online.

Speaking first to congratulate the winners of the International Olympiad, USOTU Rector Oleg Alexandrovich Baulin greeted the participants and thanked the university leaders of other countries participating in the Olympiad.

He noted that the number and prestige of the Olympiad participants is growing every year. While 42 students took part in the first Olympiad, this year the number of participants has increased to 200. 34 teams from 14 universities training specialists in the field of automation, in addition to teams from Russian universities, students of Atyrau Oil and Gas University (Republic of Kazakhstan) and Sumgayit State University (Republic of Azerbaijan) further expanded the geography of the Olympiad. He thanked the organizers for awarding the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad in a mixed format and provision of remote access to the event for all representatives of the participating universities, and congratulated the winners and wished success to all participants.

Then the floor was given to SSU Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Gafar Atayev. Associate Professor Gafar Atayev conveyed the greetings of the rector of SSU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov to the leadership of USOTU and the winners of the Olympiad. He stressed the importance of participation in such Olympiads, which served to further strengthen the high-level relations between our universities in recent years, thanked the organizers and congratulated the winners and wished them success.

Speaking at the event, Professor Javanshir Mammadov, Head of the Department of Process Automation, noted that all stages of the Olympiad, such as registration, objective selection of winners, were organized in a very high way. He thanked the leadership of USOTU, the person responsible for the Olympiad - Head of the Department of Automation, Telecommunications and Metrology Zakirnichnaya Marina Mikhailovna. The professor stressed that great experience was gained from the Olympiad, and stressed the importance of continuing work on joint projects in the future.

Representatives of other Russian universities and Kazakh universities also expressed their congratulations and best wishes.

At the end, the rector of Ufa State Oil Technical University O.Baulin and the organizers presented diplomas and valuable gifts to the winners - commemorative medals to the winners of the first stage, and virtual reality glasses, wireless chargers and external batteries to the winners of the team stage.

The diplomas and awards of the winners who participated in the distance will be sent to their addresses in the coming days.
