The large-scale and successful counter-offensive launched by the courageous Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 27 under the leadership of President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev to liberate our Armenian-occupied lands has been successfully completed and Azerbaijan has achieved historic victory. Soldiers and officers of the glorious Azerbaijani Army, servicemen, brave sons of the Motherland showed their bravery on the battlefield. They wrote their names in history as martyrs and veterans of the Second World War. It is the civic duty of every Azerbaijani to cherish the memory of the sons of the Fatherland, to care for their families, to own them, who fought for the land to the last drop of blood in the restoration of historical justice.

In this regard, on the initiative of the rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, the staff and students of the university periodically visit the families of martyrs and veterans.

On February 19, SSU vice-rectors once again visited the families of our veterans injured in Patriotic War: Ziya Rzayev, Ayaz Sadigov and Anar Asadov, conveyed the greetings of rector professor Elkhan Huseynov. They spoke about the glorious way of heroic servicemen of Azerbaijani army that won over the enemy by successful policy of Supreme-Commander in Chief Ilham Aliyev.
