On October 13, the staff of the Sumgayit City Hygiene and Epidemiology Center carried out disinfection against coronavirus in all educational buildings of Sumgayit State University: corridors, auditoriums and laboratories, centers, public catering facilities and sanitary junctions. High quality medicines were used in the disinfection works.

It should be noted that in order to prevent the threat of coronavirus infection and increase the effectiveness of appropriate preventive measures, consistent work is being carried out at SSU. The temperature of the staff is measured at the entrance of the university and the social distance is expected. In order to raise awareness, educational stands were installed in the corridors, and special disinfectants were installed to reduce the risk of infection of employees.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. F-75 dated February 5, 2020 to ensure the implementation of the "Action Plan to prevent the spread of new coronavirus (CoV) 2019 in the Republic of Azerbaijan" According to the approved Action Plan of the Ministry of Education, an educational event was held at Sumgayit State University by specialists, and extensive information was provided on the complications caused by the coronavirus and ways to prevent this disease. The university regularly disinfects against coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. It should be noted that disinfection measures will be continued at the university in the coming days.
