SOLIDARITY DAY OF WORLD AZERBAIJANIS AND NEW YEAR CELEBRATED AT SSU
On December 28, the event held at Sumgayit State University on occasion of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.
Rector Professor Elkhan Huseynov congratulated attendees on occasion of these special days, wished everyone success, spoke about importance of the day and solidarity and unity of world Azerbaijanis. He notified that this holiday plays significant role in connecting Azerbaijanis living at different countries and establishing solidarity among them. Rector also emphasized the role of National leader Heydar Aliyev in celebrating Solidarity Day, strengthening national solidarity, consolidating world Azerbaijanis around a common idea and his successful state policy in this field.
It was also noted that passing year is remembered with several events. Centennial of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic celebrated, all fields advanced as a consequence of President Ilham Aliyev’s activity. Stressing achievements gained at Sumgayit State University in 2018, Professor Elkhan Huseynov said that our students take part in international conferences, intellectual competitions and other contests and achieve success. Rector once more congratulated the university collective on Solidarity Day and New Year, wished long life, health and prosperous days.
The event went on with concert program with participation of “Sema” dance group, famous art figures and singers.
