Встреча в рамках просветительной программы “INNOSTART”
On February 16, there was a meeting within the framework of the "INNOSTART" educational program on the startup ecosystem in the regions at the Sumgayit Youth House with the support of the State Agency for public service and social innovations, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the organization of the "SUP.VC" company.
The purpose of the meeting, which was attended by members of the Council of Young Scientists and the Student Scientific Society, along with the professors and teachers of Sumgayit State University (SSU) is to discover the potential of young people, appreciate their innovative ideas, ensure the formation of the local community and encourage them to start a startup.
In his speech, the executive director of "SUP VC" Rashad Eyvazov talked about the projects organized by his company and expressed hope that hundreds of young people will learn how to turn their innovative ideas into business, as well as how to build a startup within the project.
The head of the Scientific department of SSU associate professor Samir Orujov said that the "Strategic Development Plan for 2020‒2025" approved by the Scientific Council of the university envisages the creation of an "Innovation and Creativity Center" at SSU and important work has been done in this direction. He also said that the main goal of creating the ICC is to promote innovation and creativity, to support startup initiatives of university students, as well as young people living in Sumgait and its surroundings and to implement and develop these projects in various directions.
We should note that the meeting aroused the interest of young people and a series of events are planned in this regard.
