The examination session of autumn term for 2016-2017 academic years got started in Sumgait State University. The session is arranged due to the order on conduction of examination session of Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic and regulations set by the rector of SSU. The rector of the university, professor Mr. E.Huseynov, assoc. professor Mr. N.Talibov (the vise rector on Education arrangements and training technologies), professor Mr. R. Mammadov (vise - rector on Sciences and Innovations), assoc. professor Mr. I. Gurbanov  (director of Educational Methodic Center) and the faculty deans have observed the examination process of 1st  and 2nd  courses in the faculties of Engineering, History and Geography, Economy and Management and Philology. 
The rector noted that: “all conditions have been provided for the education of students and transparent exams. Hereinafter, he wished the luck to the students. He pointed out that the university has created the Operative Headquarter and hot line service attached by in order to conduct the exams in accordance with standard documents and meanwhile, to investigate the negative cases that may happen during the exams. All of these made for the transparency of the process. In this respect the special boxes of complaints and offers has been fixed in the main building of the university. The main goal of the Headquarter is to provide the transparent and objective evaluation of student’s knowledge, to investigate all complaints and applications operatively and to eliminate the negative cases on time. The exams of correspondence department have already finished. But the exams of full-time department are still under the process. The students that unsatisfied with the results of examinations may appeal to the commissions of appeals”. 
Afterwards, the rector widely spoke about the activity for improvement of educational quality of the university, reforms and the projects to be realized accordingly. He noted that the leading personnel of the university such as the vise –rector on Distant, Correspondence and Extra Education assoc. professor Mr. G. Atayev and vise-rector on Sciences and Innovations Mr. R. Mammadov has been deployed to this process of examination in order to control it operatively. Namely Mr. Atayev leads the faculties of Chemistry and Biology, Physics and Electro Energetics and Mr. Mr. R. Mammadov leads the faculties History and Geography, Philology, Economy and Management, Engineering and Mathematics. Meanwhile, the parents of the students may observe the examination process as well. 
The students have expressed their deep thanks to the rector for the high level arrangements of the examination process.
It should be noted that the examination process of winter term will finish on February 2nd and they will be conducted in a way of monitoring.
