From 15 to 21 July, the Summer School “Travel to the Land of Fire Azerbaijan”, organized by the support of the Ministry of Education and the initiative of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities, was successfully completed at Sumgayit State University.

Academician Ramil Bakhtizin, co-chairman of the Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities on the Russian side, thanked the administration of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education and the rector of SSU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, on behalf of Russian universities for the successful completion of the Summer School.

The rector of the USOTU noted that at the invitation of the distinguished friend of the Russian-Azerbaijani University Association’s co-chair rector of SSU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov, he met with the participants of the Summer School “Travel to the Land of Fire Azerbaijan” in Baku. The leaders of the teams of Russian universities and their members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to get acquainted with the history, culture and modern life of sunny Azerbaijan. The school program was rich and interesting. “The hospitality of our Azerbaijani friends, as always, was up to the mark,” said R. Bakhtizin. In the opinion of academician R. Bakhtizin, the Association for 5 years has done a great job of establishing cooperation in the field of science and education and their development. “As co-chairman of the Association, on behalf of Russian university teams, I express gratitude to the administration of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education and colleagues from SSU for the contribution they make to the development of friendship and cooperation between our fraternal peoples”.
