According to resolution dated 14.09.2018 of Scientific Board of Sumgayit State University, collaborators of University regularly hold meetings at secondary schools of the city. The following meeting held at school № 35 on February 8 for the purpose of “Promoting the place and position of Sumgayit State University” in Azerbaijani Education Space.

Participants included: head of Department of Mathematics and its teaching methods, PhD in pedagogy docent Khalida Hasanova; head of the Department of Mathematical analysis and functions theory, doctor of mathematical sciences, Professor Nabi Gurbanov; docent Khalil Aliyev; candidate of pedagogical sciences Ilgar Safarli; docent of Informatics department, PhD in technical sciences Shahla Huseynzade; senior lecturer of the Department of Differential equations and optimization PhD in mathematics Khayala Seyfullayeva; assistant of the Department of Mathematics and its teaching methods PhD in mathematics Konul Aliyeva and PhD student of the Department Aynura Aliyeva.

School principal Nushaba Hasanova launched the event with welcome speech, hailed the guests and gave information to pupils about significance of university choice. She emphasized that being the only higher education institution of Sumgayit city, Sumgayit State University has high education quality and modern training equipment. “12 alumni of the school admitted to Sumgayit State University in 2017/2018 academic year. The school has been cooperating with Sumgayit State University since 2013. The students of Mathematics Faculty are interning at school № 35”.

Mathematics and Informatics teacher of the school Sabina Ahmad spoke about education opportunities in the University and noted that she also graduated from SSU in 2005.

Promotion video and presentation materials of Sumgayit State University were displayed in the meeting on information about education opportunities, laboratories, and material-technical equipment of the university. University’s Heydar Aliyev Center, auditoria, subject laboratories, electron library, sport club and foreign language courses at Linguistic Center drew special attention of pupils.

At the end of the meeting, SSU lecturers responded the pupils’ questions.
